Dear Sister we received your sad letter the 25 was very glad to hear from you but sorry to hear of Viola death but there is on thing sure we are all getting old. and it wont be long untill we will all be gone my health has been very poor the last summer. What was she operated on for I did not know she had any thing wrong with her where was she when she died did Allen or any one go back when she died we was thinking of leaving the farm the fall but prices went to pieces so we thought we would hang on a little longer our second boy was married this fall our oldest girl is teaching 25 miles from home she is home for vacation she gets $100 per month we have such bad roads we don’t get our mail very often. George has a fine boy baby he will be a year old the 23 of Feb. will try and send you their picture next time how are all of Allens folks.

I thought some of you would get down to see us before long is Allen still running the store well as news is scarce will close hoping to hear from you in the near future as ever you loving sister.
